Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect on ofengine.com and when you buy an OFEngine license, how we use it, and your choices. It covers our sales website and license fulfilment — not the platforms you build with OFEngine (those are under your control as the operator).
1. Who is responsible

2. What we collect
- Purchase / enquiry details — name, email, plan selected, price, and any message you send via the checkout form, WhatsApp, or email.
- License & support data — domain(s) you license, order references, and support correspondence.
- Technical data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) when you visit ofengine.com.
- Cookies / local storage — only what is needed for the site to work (for example remembering UI state). We do not run advertising trackers on the sales page by default.
3. How we use your data
- To respond to purchase enquiries and complete license sales
- To deliver license keys, portal access, install help, and product updates
- To provide customer support and prevent fraud or license abuse
- To operate and secure ofengine.com
- To meet legal and accounting obligations
We do not sell your personal data.
4. WhatsApp checkout
If you choose “Continue on WhatsApp”, your name, email, and selected plan are placed into a pre-filled WhatsApp message that you send to us. WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy apply to that messaging service. We use the details you send only to process your order and related support.
5. Legal bases (where GDPR applies)
- Contract — processing needed to sell and deliver your license
- Legitimate interests — securing our site, preventing abuse, improving the sales experience
- Legal obligation — tax and accounting records
- Consent — where you opt in to optional communications (if offered)
6. Sharing
We may share data with:
- Payment processors / banks when you pay (they process payment details under their own policies)
- Hosting and email providers that help us run ofengine.com and deliver messages
- Authorities if required by law
We only share what is needed for those purposes.
7. Retention
We keep purchase and license records for as long as needed to honour your license, provide updates/support, and meet legal retention rules. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and diagnostics. You may ask us to delete enquiry data that is not required for an active license or legal obligation.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to a small software vendor (HTTPS, access controls, limited staff access). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. International transfers
Your data may be processed in the United Kingdom or other countries where our tools or team operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, or to object / withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email sales@now2code.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
11. Your OFEngine installation
When you self-host OFEngine, you are the controller for your users’ data (creators, fans, etc.). Our Privacy Policy does not cover that. Configure your own privacy notice, age gates, and compliance tools inside your installation.
12. Children
ofengine.com and OFEngine licenses are intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
