Options
Section titled “Options”| Storage | When to use it |
|---|---|
| Local disk | Getting started, or a small site. Nothing extra to set up. |
| Amazon S3 | The standard choice. Reliable and widely supported. |
| Cloudflare R2 | No egress fees, which helps a lot when fans stream video. |
| Backblaze B2 | Low storage cost. |
| DigitalOcean Spaces | Simple if you already host on DigitalOcean. |
| Wasabi | Flat-rate storage pricing. |
Moving to cloud storage
Section titled “Moving to cloud storage”- Create a bucket with your provider and generate an access key with read/write access to it.
- In the admin panel, open Storage settings, choose the provider and enter the bucket name, region, endpoint (for S3-compatible providers) and keys.
- Save, then upload a test image and a test video to confirm both display.
Video processing
Section titled “Video processing”When FFmpeg is available, uploaded videos are transcoded into a web-friendly format and preview clips are generated. Processing runs in the background through the cron job, so a new video can take a few minutes to appear. See Server requirements.
